"In this House"...Wall Art

I wanted to share my new Wall Art from the Silhouette Online Store.
I have been wanting to vinyl my kitchen wall with this phrase for a year now and never found the right font I wanted.  One day I was checking the SOS for something else and found it!  I was so excited and it was perfect.

The frames are painted antique white to match my other cabinets, and then I used the same brown tint  gloss to give a more distressed - shabby chic look.  My cabinets have the same feel to them.
The main frame is supposed to be crooked and the silly photos are supposed to symbolize how 'imperfect' our family is  and how true this phrase is in our family.

Thanks for stopping by.
I am also entering this creation in this weeks Silhouette  Challenge.  Stop by and see all the cool projects using a word or phrase from the online store.

"Yappy Birthday" -Guest Designer Day with Pinque Peacock

Happy Monday everyone!  Today I am blessed to be a Guest Designer for my friend Jessica with Pinque Peacock.  She has a wonderful blog and a great shop you can find all homemade flowers,  beaded pins, fabric buttons and so much more.  You really need to stop in and check her out.  She is affordable and her products are not like anyone else's.

When I was shopping around at her store I saw these puppy paw fabric buttons and I knew I wanted to get them for a birthday card I was going to be making for a birthday.
I chose to get the buttons with a flat back because I knew I wanted to out it on a card.   My inspiration for the card came from my cousin's volunteer service to Lab's and from a card I saw on Pinterest.

The Lab's are from the Pet Shop Cricut Cartridge, the Base paper is from Imaginisce, and the doggy paw paper is from  We R Memory Keepers-Friends Furever.   I did use my Cuttlebug to emboss the blue Tim Holtz paper for a more rugged look.  I stamped the sentiment with Robyn's, My Pink Stamper's - Biggie Puns.  I actually decided to not use the whole verse on the stamp, so I just inked the portions I needed for the card.  I did use CTMH's Burlap ribbon for added texture and Tim Holtz's vintage ink for distressing the sides, my die cut Lab's and for the sentiment stamping.

Tackel Box Birthday

Hey there ladies and gents, How are all of you?   Have you missed me?  lol
I am finally getting back into the swing of crafting again.  I feel I have been overwhelmed
with life lately and not been able to craft.  Ever feel that way?  I bet all or most of you have....

I have a new toy to play with these days too!  Not only do I now craft with my Cricut, but now, the Silhouette Cameo.  They are both amazing!

I wanted to share a BAP tackle box version I made for me nephew back in June.
Since the 'new Prince" was born yesterday I thought sharing a 'birthday' card was fitting.

The card is a 3D card.  And if you are interested in the purchasing the card SVG here is the link.

front of card.  The front of the card is cut with my Cameo and
cuts were from the Silhouette online store.  I just separated
them to fit my needs.

top of card-  the front latch stays closed by a very small Velcro closure
and  I used some eyelets to on the top handle for some dimension.

inside the card, with an opening that I wrapped up with twine a
couple dollars to make it look like a full tackle box

most of the lures we included in the BAP but I added the fly
fishing reel and embossed the back to look like a board holding the
fishing supplies

this is the lower half of the card when opening the card.  The fish and wood
looking sign is from the silhouette online store.

Almost everything was distressed with Tim Holtz inks and  the Happy Birthday stamp
is from Pink By Design.  I used Viva Décor silver pen to highlight the fishing
line on the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back and soon.  I have a more projects already set to post.
If you have any suggestions on things you would like to see of explained.  Just ask, I would
love to design something for you.

Blessing to you all,

Tess

Today I wanted to share a couple cards I have made using the Silhouette Cameo.  Man, I love this machine!  The first two cards are the tri-fold step card.  This was my first time making one, (well, actually two).  They are really cool and easy to make.  My cousins, who happen to be brother and sister, graduated on the exact same day from High School and College.  Can you believe that?!  What are the chances of that happening.  Did I mention they live in Cali and my cousin attended University of Notre Dame in Indiana.    Enough about my family, here are the cards.

This card I used the Close to My Heart Later Sk8ter paper.  I wanted to go for a
male looking graduation card.  So, I thought this would work and I did not want
to use the traditional graduation colors.

Stamps used inside are from Pink By Design-Enjoy the Journey

This is the tri-fold step card I made for my other cousin that just graduated
from Notre Dame.  I still used the Cameo, but decided to try the print and cut
feature.

The stamp I used inside is from CTMH's -For Every
Occasion

Our Kreative Karma-Wham, Pow, Splaz

Welcome everyone!

Sorry to post so late in the day, I feel like I have an eight year old birthday hangover.  LOL.  Today is my oldest daughter's birthday and as it happened it was also to the weekend that my husband's family came out for their quarterly visit.  Needless to say, it has been quite busy.

Today, I get to post for my dear design team Our Kreative Karma.  Our theme this month is Fun, Sunshine and Smiles.  I  went into this month thinking I would use my day to showcase a birthday card for my daughter with mermaids.  But then I went to a scrapbooking retreat last weekend and had so much fun scrapbooking my son's 5th birthday filled with superhero's.  :)

I hope you enjoy the layouts.

Roxybonds CTMH Chantilly Blog Hop

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

We will be featuring artwork from the Chantilly Paper Pack

If you have come here from Catherine's blog, then you are on the right path. Your next stop will be Emma's Blog

Today I have created a layout using the Chantilly papers.   I found this photo of my mom and daughter from a couple years ago.  We had spent the day at Disney's Magic Kingdom and were on the boat back to our hotel.  I found it endearing that my daughter was in MY mother's arms so tired from all the fun.  Of course, I had to snap a photo or two.  I just wanted to remember this moment.

My photos for this layout are not the best, I will try tomorrow and retake them.  I think it is mainly the glare from the photos.

I wanted the photos and simplicity to be the focus.  I still need to put a title and my journaling on the page.   I was having trouble coming up with a title but I think I might go with "Happiness is...being with you".  I am going to cut this title out with the Twilight blue paper that
matches this Chantilly set.  I will make sure to update this post later tomorrow after I cut out the title.

Products used for this layout were, Chantilly paper pack, Twilight Ink, Chantilly embellishments, Prima flowers and some brads.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Come back to see how my title turns out.  :)

Now hop on over to Emma's Blog for your next stop.

CTMH- Roxybonds Later Sk8ter Blog Hop

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

We will be featuring artwork from the Later Sk8ter Pack.

If you have come here from Catherine's blog, then you are on the right path. Your next stop will be Jen's Blog.

When Close To My Heart came out with their Spring and Summer Idea book, I was so excited for this paper packet.  I loved the bright and fun look for this paper.  Of course, my first thought was all for my boys, but then Jen asked me to join her Blog Hop for this paper packet, and I wanted to try and make a card without going the 'boy route' to show the diversity of these papers.

Here are my two cards that I made.  One was a gathering project I made for a Craft Fair a couple weeks ago, and the other card was made as a 'thank you' for a friend.

All paper if from the CTMH Later Sk8ter paper packet.  The stamp sets I used were Puns Of Praise (love this stamp set!!!),  the Later Sk8ter stamp set and bling that come with the Workshop on the GO kit, Outdoor Demin ink, and the SEWeasy floss of white and gray.
I could not find my CTMH twine, that I really wanted to use.
I also stamped Thank You on the inside with CTMH For Every Occasion set.

Now hop on over to Jen Patrick's blog for your next stop.
